ARLINGTON — Back in 1996, Michael Odle won a state championship as a quarterback at Lewisville. His team didn't throw a single pass in the state title game. Now the head coach at Lewisville, Odle has guided his team back to the fourth round of the playoffs for the first time since 1996. The Farmers no longer run the Wishbone, but they still like to dominate opponents with the running game in the age of pass-happy spread offenses. Lewisville ran for 340 yards on 50 carries while throwing 10 passes and routed Keller 43-3 on a rainy Saturday in a Class 6A Division I Region I semifinal at Choctaw Stadium.
