Bed Bath & Beyond is shuttering its Lewisville distribution center and laying off hundreds of people, according to a report from The Dallas Morning News. The ailing big box retailer is eliminating 374 jobs and closing the facility located at 2900 South Valley Parkway, the New Jersey-based retailer said in a letter to the Texas Workforce Commission. The retailer leased the almost 800,000-square-foot facility in 2016 to fill e-commerce orders. Bed Bath & Beyond said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission last week that it doesn't have enough money to pay down its debts and confirmed that it is considering a bankruptcy filing.
